Meet Our Team

Hi, I’m Mindy Harmer, Speech-Language Pathologist, Certified Lactation Counselor, author of Balancing Breast and Bottle: Feeding Your Baby, and owner of Cierra Therapy. I graduated from University of Santa Barbara California back when big hair was in and Bart Simpson coined the phrase Cowabunga. From Santa Barbara, I traveled to Nashville, Tennessee, and entered the Speech-Language doctoral program at Vanderbilt University. While I would love to have PhD behind my name, I decided to move back to my home state of Idaho prior to starting my dissertation. I knew I had made the right decision when my new employer and later to be business partner greeted me while riding a stick horse. I’ve been laughing, playing, and helping children with their speech-language skills ever since.

My name is Kim Cato and I’m a Certified Speech Language Pathologist. I graduated with my Master’s
degree from Idaho State University. I was lucky to find a job quickly in Twin Falls with Mindy who is my
employer, mentor, and friend. At Cierra Therapy I am able to help children improve their
communication skills while involving their parents and family members. Although not a cheerleader in
high school (I played soccer, basketball, and softball), I am every child’s cheerleader in therapy helping
them lean new communication skills.

Hi, my name is Erin Taylor.  I initially graduated from University of Idaho with a BS in Psychology and had plans to pursue a doctorate degree in that field.  However, a friend introduced me to occupational therapy and once I learned more about the profession I knew it was a better fit for my “problem solving” approach to life.  I completed my Master’s in Occupational Therapy from Idaho State University in 2002.  Early in my career, I worked in just about every setting OTs work in , but have found my niche in pediatrics over the last 15 years.  I truly enjoy helping children and families identify and address the barriers they may be experiencing due to physical, cognitive, emotional, social, and/or environmental deficits.  I strongly believe every child is unique and requires an individualized treatment strategy to be successful. That’s why I love working at Cierra Therapy.   We are definitely not a “one size fits all” clinic!  I utilize a variety of treatment strategies to address problems with motor function, visual perception, cognitive processing, and sensory integration.  Working together with families to help their children grow to be independent and successful in daily activities is always my goal in therapy.

If you are an avid Zumba gal or your children grew up in the 2000s, you may recognize the
name Tina Baker. Tina has lived in Twin Falls for 25+ years. When her two boys were young,
she worked at Blip Printers and volunteered at their schools. Tina has a knack for helping out
which is lucky for Cierra Therapy. In 2015, Cierra Therapy was unexpectedly without an office
manager. Tina offered to help out for a bit, and we have yet to let her leave. She is our go to
person with job duties ranging from tracking therapy visits to ensuring that the chocolate is well
stocked. If you have any questions regarding your account, contract, or therapist availability,
give Tina a call.
